"The additional pick-up scenes we filmed allowed me to design some wonderful new costumes for Arwen, in much richer colours than we had seen her wearing in the first film. As with some of the first film's designs, I used light silks and dark colours - the latter suiting both the Rivendell Elf look and Liv's own colouring.
